In the November issue of Governing, Alex Marshall writes about why streetcar systems are becoming so popular and why "streetcar" is replacing "light rail" as the urban transportation buzzword of choice.
While he doesn't really offer any new arguments, it's worth reading to brush up on streetcars' benefits to cities.
