Cause of death: Cracked walls, busted windows, broken sidewalks, failed mechanicals, and failing gutters and downspouts. The building was abandoned by its owner and became a haven for crime, barricaded by the City on four seperate occasions. At one point, inspectors entered the property and found two people having sex. It also became a local trash dump. It was condemned in June 2006 and declared a public nuisance in August 2006, and was finally purchased and demolished by Corinthian Baptist Church.
