Marburg Square photo update, 10/13/07

Building at the $25 million Marburg Square project continues slowly but surely.

The Ackermann Group is building 78 condos at Marburg Avenue and Wasson Road in Oakley, near Hyde Park Plaza.

After selling only seven units in three years, Ackermann has scaled down most of the units and has lowered prices from $399,000 to $229,900-$279,900.

Buildout is expected in 2010.

They should have made them NON ATTACHED single family row houses from the start and set them back more than 5 feet from the street.

But things can't be all bad for them, I noticed that on one of your pics the minimum price for the single level flats went from 229 to $249

Honestly, anything is better than what was there, but they do have to price them accordingly. That old saw about being the nicest house in the neighborhood...

The builder/developer is losing his ass on these...condo's in Oakley for $230K? Are you kidding me? The buyer for these condo's wants to live in OTR where they can get the same thing + a lifestyle...

I agree with the first post, they should have made them detached but the price of the land probably dictated density so they had to do TH's and flats...F'n morons...This was a bad deal for them. Eventually some other builder will come in, buy the lots at a discount and build crap...
