Bradford Place foundations being poured

Riverstone Development Group reports that foundations are being poured for the first phase of Bradford Place in Madeira.

The first phase of Bradford Place will consist of 14 custom-built, Cape Cod-inspired townhomes of between 2,800 and 4,000 square feet.

Twelve additional units will be built in the second phase.

Being built and within walking distance of the business district and city services, the homes are expected to be a popular option for empty-nesters.

Site work for the development began in April, and an official groundbreaking was held in June.

Units in phase one are expected to be available for occupancy by year's end.

"Cape Cod inspired townhomes"
By definition, can townhomes be Cape Cod styled? Oh the language developers use to come up to describe their projects. :)

^ Judging from the renderings, they don't look "Cape Cod" at all, so I guess the answer would be "no".

They do have a little bit of a New England seaside vibe to their design, so maybe that's what they meant?!?

"Cap Cod inspired" could also mean...that wood shingles will be used somewhere on the houses. Put on some wood shingles and presto - it is Cape Cod...maybe a ship or whale on the weathervane too.

Couldn't they be Madeira inspired?

news flash: cape-cod would be considered by many to be part of New England ;)
