Your opportunity to help Over-the-Rhine's Contact Center by purchasing a unique piece of art happens this Saturday with a reception at MiCA 12/v, 1201 Vine Street.

VisuaLingual, the multi-disciplinary design studio of Maya Drozdz and Michael Stout, has created a limited-edition screen print depicting the block of Vine Street between 12th and 13th streets, which captures the unique character of the center and its surrounding buildings.

Priced at $100 framed or $85 unframed, each print features four colors on bright white, acid-free recycled paper.

Only 40 prints are available, and all proceeds will be used by VisuaLingual to fund the design, production, and installation of the Contact Center's new storefront signage.

"As a small design studio located in Over-the-Rhine, we are greatly inspired by the built environment around us, and it's great when our work can have a positive impact on our community," Drozdz says. "When the Contact Center, a non-profit community organizing agency, asked us to help revamp its Vine Street storefront signage, we were excited to work directly with our OTR neighbors."

The reception, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will give attendees the opportunity to meet the designers and members of the center.

The Contact Center has been an advocate for low-income people for over 40 years, working on the local, state and national level as a grassroots voice on issues such as education, housing, safety, and income security.
