Casino on the agenda for upcoming 'Power Breakfast'

Matt Cullen, president and COO of Rock Ventures LLC, will outline how the new casino at Broadway Commons can positively impact the entire city during his keynote speech at the Business Courier's ninth annual Commercial Real Estate Developers Power Breakfast, on May 6 at the --> --> -->Duke Energy Convention Center --> --> -->.

In addition to Cullen, a group of panelists will discuss how the region can make the most of this development and how the casino should integrate into the surrounding neighborhoods.

These panelists include:

  • Ohio Senator Bill Seitz, a lifelong Hamilton County resident and currently a partner with the law firm Taft, Stettinius and Hollister,
  • Patrick Ewing, interim economic development director with the City of Cincinnati and a certified economic development professional by the National Development Council, and
  • Aaron Renn, former director at Accenture consulting and current writer of the Urbanophile, a top urban strategies website that covers the oft-overlooked cities of the Midwest.
New to the breakfast this year is the 2010 Cincinnati USA Growth Awards, presented by the Cincinnati USA Partnership.

One hour of networking will precede the program, beginning at 7 a.m.

Registration is required by April 29. Tickets are $50 each, and tables with ten seats are $500 each and include a one-year subscription to the Business Courier.

Hopefully, considering the overall surrounding landscape (buildings etc.) it will not be one huge warehouse looking building with lots of fake little building facades all at street side. Have never seen this work successfully.
